  1. The location for the photo with the title “The Mosque and The Towers” is wrong. The photo’s taken in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and not from within the United Arab States. :)

  2. The designs of mosques is absolutely amazing. The real beauty is getting close and seeing the tiny details, the isometric patterns and the arabic are outstanding. Also the insides are a hundred times better :)

      1. Yes, Masjid in English is Mosque. But, the meaning is different. I agree with Sameer.

      2. This place is not for your discussions. Go do that somewhere else.

This is a site to showcase the best in design and let’s keep it that way.

Behave decently and don’t mar the name of Muslims by starting unnecessary talks.

      3. Thanks fajarfaqih for the information, and what you said is correct, even it is not an opinion but a fact.

        Thanks again

      4. Technically it would be masaajid since that’s the plural. I think it’s probably incorrect that mosque came from the word mosquito which is usually why people object to using the English. It’s more likely to have come from the French “mosquee” which comes from Middle French so I think it’s better not to get het up about it but Allahu Alim.
